I met this woman while walking on the street a few weeks ago. She was wearing a full length ski coat. I don’t think she understood what I was saying.

MOCCA Fest 2010 – April 10 &11

I’m going to be at MOCCA again this year, this time with a full table (E13) along with TAPIR TOOTH, our comics collective. Tapir Tooth is: Miriam Gibson, Peter Quach, Alexander Rothman and AJ Morales. We have lots of cool stuff – including our Google Doppelganger anthology – so come by and say hello!

As usual, MOCCA’s held in the Armory near 25th st between Lexington and Park Avenues. Look at the exhibitor and guest list on MOCCA NY’s website – there’s going to be lots of interesting people there!

Amy Klein is coming out with a solo cd called FOR THE SKY, which is pretty amazing. She’s also going on tour with the band Titus Andronicus this month. Her cd has all kinds of cool and atmospheric vocal work (and wonderfully incorporates cello!).

It’s art – that I found. From 2007 and onward, in no particular order.

I remember Proud was in Nancy’s studio late at night and I walked in and he was blasting African dance music. It was so awesome, we were both kind of dancing around the room while we worked. This drawing is about 40 inches by 40 inches — nothing like attacking a big piece of paper to loud music!

Coming: Google Doppelganger Project

Tapir Tooth is working on an anthology of Google Doppelganger stories. A GD is someone with your name who appears whenever you google yourself. All the Bob Smith’s of the world have dozens. Unfortunately, all the Andrea Tsurumi’s just have me. So I better not mess up, huh? Or I’ll have to rename myself Bob Smith.
