SCENIC PAINTING
I love gaff tape. And dutchmen. And Murphy’s Oil Soap.
At Harvard, I was a Scenic Painter for 8 plays and Set Designer for 1. Courtney Thompson and I created the Student Technical Theatre Handbook.
I’ve also interned for the Jean Cocteau Repertory and done research for THE PAINTER’S JOURNAL, the scenic art magazine.
Here are photos of the plays I’ve worked on:
Pirates of Penzance (HRGSP 2004) – Master Painter
Pirates of Penzance (HRSGP 2004)
Alice in Wonderland (HRDC 2006) – Asst. Painter
Three Tall Women (HRDC 2005) – Master Painter

Dunster House Grill 2006 – Dunster’s mascot is the moose, so they wanted a Rocky & Bullwinkle theme. Boris is holding a map to the Quad.
Ruddigore (HRSGP 2006) – Master Painter

Sunday in the Park with George (HRDC 2004) – Asst. Painter
I also like creating large painted props:
5′ x 5′ Thai Shadow Puppet – Paint & Poster Board (2005)
